Time Machine problem

i use a macbook and ox 10.6 and an external harddrive for back up.

when i try to configure time machine i am asked to set up time capsule, i then get a message that there are no wireless devices found,which i dont have.i cannot select another option, though and therefore cant continue.

any tips?

Make sure your external HDD is plugged in, as you want to do this wired. Check out these two youtube videos; they should answer most of your questions. The first one is for Mountain Lion, but most of the pertinent info is the same. Good luck!
