Time Machine Problem

I was just running my first time machine on my lap top (PBG4/1.67/2GB) and once the backup completes my processor stays at 60-75%. Is this normal? I am about to send it in for some repairs, is this something that they should also look into?

I have never noticed what mine stays at after a backup, I will check it out and let you know.

I would be ok with it if it eventually drops back down to my normal idle (2-5% with no apps running), but it never does. This really concerns me.
