Title pretty much sums it up. Just installed a new 640gb wd Hdd, which works: I can partition it in disk utility, whatever. I had made a copy of my old hdd onto my backup disk, tried restoring that backup onto my new internal drive and it was supposedly successful; wrote all the data, just wouldn't boot. Stuck at the white screen.

Attempt #2: use my time machine backups to restore my system. I can find the backup I want to use no problem, but when it asks where I want to restore it to, my internal drive isn't available. I only see my 3 otherexternal partitions as choices.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm zeroing out my internal now but that's going to take another two hours... It's formatted in "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" which is what all my mac hdd's have always been...
