Hi All,

Can I do a Macbook Air 2013 time machine backup full restore to a new Macbook Pro 13 Retina? If not what's the best option to accomplish getting everything over?

Thanks,

Greg

Yep, when you get the new machine and turn it on, setup assistant can restore everything from the time machine backup or the MBA itself.

The best option is to import the data as part of the system setup on the new machine. After you select a language and time zone you will get a prompt asking if you want to bring in your data. Say yes and point to the Time Machine disk. That will bring in all your user accounts, apps, and data.
