On The Nickel, over there....
I have a few problems with my regular account. I do have a good TM copy of the system from a day or two ago.
How do use Time Machine to restore the complete system? It's easy enough to restore one file or folder, but I want/need to restore everything. When I open finder and go to TM, the restore option is grayed out. Is there someplace else I need to open to restore everything in one fell swoop?
Thanks for any help offered. I cannot figure this out!

One follow up question

Do you know if this will allow me to restore from a particular TM backup, or will it restore from the most recent TM backup? I need to restore from a backup several days ago, so the most recent one will not help me.
Bonus idiot question:
Is the system restore disk the same as the install disk? I am running SL and it only came with the one disk. I have Leopard on two disks, and they are labeled Install Disk 1 and Install Disk 2.

It should give you a list of available backups to restore from.

The grey restore discs or a retail disc will work.
