Hi -
Since updating to 10.5.4, my Time Machine takes *forever* to run. I
understand the first time after an update it needs to do a "deep traversal"
(I think that's what it's called), but I've done 4 daily backups since then,
and each takes more than 15 minutes to start. As an example, I haven't
used my iMac much in the past 24 hours (added 6 files, ran Mail once, and
downloaded an application update and installed it). So I'm thinking this
can't be much more than 100MB in changes. Yet here I am, 22 minutes
and counting, and Time Machine is still "Preparing . . ." (update: it finally
finished, 164MB)
Any thoughts? Or do I just need to let TM take as long as it needs, and
at some point it will get "better"?
Thanks . . .
