Time Machine to back up from External TO an External.

Hi,

I recently bought a WD MyCloud EX2, which has probably been the worst purchase ever.
I have tried using the back up function on this drive, it just wont recognise my external HD once it's plugged in, but that's neither here nor there.

I'm hoping I can bypass the shoddy product and use the Time Machine function on my iMac to automatically back up my files FROM my Seagate External HD TO my WD MyCloud every time the Mac boots up.

Is this possible? As far as i'm aware Time Machine will only back up to the iMac HD, but hopefully there's a way around this.
