I have a Mac Pro with two drives, a 1TB main drive and an older 500 MB one I used to use for media. I would like to use the 500 MB drive for TM backups, but you might see the problem...

But this is only a problem if TM backs up everything. All I really want to back up is my personal files - music, documents, images, etc. I can re-load applications and games from the original CD's, and re-loading the OS is no longer an issue.

But all I can find for doing anything like this is an Excludes function. What I really want is the opposite, here's the things I want. Is there some easier way to do this?

I think you're out out of luck for an "include" function. However, it looks like you could get the effect you want by using only four or five excludes at the top level of your boot drive. That could exclude everything except "/Users", which is probably what you want backed up.
