Time Machine to the rescue?

Hello,

My system suffered a severe crash and I had to reinstall OS X (clean). I had Time Machine setup but unfortunately it never finished. On my external hard drive I have the bundle that Time Machine created. It is 230GBs but the name is "in progress". Is there any way to view what data is in this bundle?

Yes, you should be able to mount the .sparsebundle as a disk image like you would with a .dmg and browse the contents.
