I just reformatted my iMac because it kept crashing and felt like a "fresh install" was needed. All my files are always backed up onto a Time Machine drive as well as iCloud. When reformatting my iMac, I unplugged the time machine drive to ensure nothing would get erased off that drive.
Now, once reformatting was complete and upon plugging in my time machine drive - the drive appears empty on my imac. (I dont want to re-import all the files, I just want to keep them on that drive and access them as I need because they're all completed projects). When I plug the drive into my macbook it DOES show all the files.
Any ideas on what may cause this?
