Alright, so when I'm looking at my backups (you know, with the black hole and all) and I click the back arrow, it goes back a window. But sometimes when I click the arrow, it skips a bunch of windows and stops at a window further down. Same thing with traveling forwards, back to more recent backups.

Anyone know why?

When you click those arrows, Time Machine travels back in time to the next window that contains a new/different file. In other words, the windows that are skipped are identical to the window you just viewed. Same concept going forward.

It travels forward and backwards in time between changes, skipping over those backup sessions where there are no changes for the current window.

Edit: was just beaten to my post by a similar one

Ah, I figured it was something like that.

Thanks!

I wonder how long it's going to take until someone mods the Time Machine background to be a Stargate. And it should dial and animate when you open time machine and the windows should come out of it.

Anyone? ..... anyone?...
