Not entirely sure what's happening here folks but here goes (with my limited knowledge) a run down of my problem.

External hard drives, Time Machine backup.

NB: I have a MacBook Pro 15" 2.2.Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo and am using Snow Leopard 10.6.4

I have:

1) Lacie 1TB external HD that I use for time machine, no problems.
2) 250GB Lacie 'Little Disk' mobile for photos
3) Maxtor 250 GB desktop for documentation and audio
4) Lacie d2 Extreme 250 GB for music projects and add ons such as EZ drummer add ons, Logic etc.

I tested all the drives last night with disk utility, verifying and all was fine except for ext HD 4) out of the above.:( So I removed everything and saved it to a folder on my desktop. Erased it ( I chose the top option not the one that erases stuff seven times or something) then put some of the items back into the Lacie d2 but it keeps cancelling my Time Machine backups and I've no idea why

Each time I try I get the following message.

The backup was not performed because an error occured while copying files to backup disk..etc,etc:confused:

(I ejected all of the other HD's and just have the Lacie d2 into the Lacie 1TB and have checked that I have included the d2 in the backup via the 'select disk')

I really need to start backing everything up and all else appears to be backing up into the Lacie 1TB fine.

Any help, suggestions, tips v.much appreciated.

I am a complete novice so keep it simple please :(

Thanks all,

PS You guys have been an excellent help in the past so I am hoping we'll manage to clear this up ASAP.

.... BUMP!

Something I said? :(
