I've noticed recently that whenever I wake my MBP from sleep (open the lid), time machine does a backup. always. it doesn't matter when the last backup was, even if it was 10 minutes ago. I don't seem to remember this occurring before, and I can't remember if it began after applying 10.5.2.

Is this normal? Is time machine supposed to backup every time the computer is woken up? Here's the kicker:

only the backups that occur in hour increments (the "real" ones?) show up when I enter time machine. the little ones, about 3MB, that occur upon waking, don't show.

any ideas are welcome!
