Question: Will Time Machine back up an external drive?

The scenario is like this: I've got a MBP with a small hard drive. I also have an external drive I use for storage. If I have a second even larger external drive for Time Machine, will Time machine back up both my internal drive AND my external drive? Or do I need to backup my external drive with another program?

yes it will.

go to time machine preferences.
then options.
then in the do not back up list, your external hds should be there (the storage one and the time machine one.) Remove the storage one from the list and it will back it up.

Sweet! Time machine is a much cooler feature than I realized if it has this! You can back up your entire system no matter how many drives it spans. Very nice.
