I'm running 10.5 on a late 2006 MB.

Time machine has worked great for a month and a half until now. I've been ripping personally owned DVDs so I can watch them on the go. I've been doing this for a long time and have not changed my Handbrake file output settings in years.

My question is why on disk 4 of 6 in a series would Time machine start refusing to backup the m4v files? I get the ambiguous "failed to backup" error and when I read Time machine logs it was those specific files that failed. I excluded them. Backup worked. I delete files, rip again. Backup fails. I'm at a loss as to why these files are different from any other. Any ideas?

PS, I've ripped and backed up other files since this started.

PSS, my Time machine backup is stored on a network attached LaCie quadra 1TB.
