When using Time Machine with Multiple disks it alternates the backups to each of the disks you have added but what does that mean for any given restore? If you alternative doesn't that mean that at any time some content can be exclusive to a single disk?

Is it true that the alternation only picks up from where there last disk left off or does it actually keep what's changed since _this_ disk was last backed up? Is there just one event queue or a set of event queues?
