My lousy mac has been spending the last 3 hours trying to do a Time Machine backup (via wireless to Time Caspsule) and it still is saying "preparing to back up".

I canceled it once and:

....I am able too open the Time Capsule via finder and sure enough the sparcebindle file is there and looks OK.

I am able to open the mounted disk image "Backup of Joe Blog's iMac"

I can even clic on the stupid time machine icon and open the Time machine app tand navigate through to locate deleted files,.....

So it doesn't- seem as though the drive is stuffed of the spacre bundle is corrupt. Yet Still when I try to backup it just spins around for another coupe of hours saying it is preparing to back up.

(there has not been a huge amout of manipulating of data on the iMacs HD to suggst there is a few gig to backup)

Any Suggestions?
