Time Machine work on partitioned drive?

Can Time Machine work on a drive that has been partioned? I want to buy a 750GB drive and partion off 10gigs for a Photoshop scratch disk and use the other partition for Time Machine backups.

Would Photoshop even need a scratch disk that big? I have 5GB of RAM on my Mac Pro and using Photoshop CS3

TM can definitely work on a partition...

i partitioned 100 gb's for time machine. no problems.

also can confirm that it works wonderfully
have a 120GB partition that I use for TM and no issues yet.
