I just got my MBP back from apple land with a new logic board.

Now my time machine drive doesn't work. For some reason even though all my back ups are on my drive, it creates a new folder for the backups and can't backup because there isn't enough space on my drive.

The problem is that usually it will just delete an old backup and write some new information in. I tried (probably a bit dimly) to move the old backups to the new folder, but even with setting read and write permissions its not having it.

So, I think that all I need to do is to point the time machine in the direction of the old folder, and everything will be back to normal.

Deleting old back ups manually isn't a road I want to go down, I am hoping there is a nice little text file I can edit.

Tell me there is !

Thanks JG, unfortunately it still wants to create a back up of the whole drive, so I'll have to float some stuff to my other HD.
