Have an Imac with 320Gig internal hard drive which is backed up with a 1 tera-bit time capsule. I'am running out of hard drive space in my internal drive on the imac. I purchased a WD book 2 tera-bit drive and transferred all my i-tunes and movies to this external hard drive. My question is there any way of getting my time capsule to back up these files as well as what on my internal hard drive???

thanks hal

I believe that you can back up an external drive through time machine, however, you can't really back up a 2 terabyte HD to a 1 terabyte drive. You need a larger drive to put your backup on as the drive you want to back up is twice as large as the drive you want your backup on.

Only if the total amount of data is over 1TB. Nothing stops you from backing up the 2TB if it has e.g. 200GB in it.
