Hi Guys

I use time machine for backups, and so far so good. it runs quite happily in the background whilst I get on with my work. However, I want to configure my NAS drive, which is used for backing up, to switch off when it's not required. I don't want it switching off in the middle of a backup (don't ask ) so I was wondering if there is any way the schedule of time machine backups can be configured? Thanks.

What type of NAS drive? It might have a feature to spin down the drives when it is idle...and then it would use hardly any power in that mode.

The NAS doesn't have an automatic sleep mode, but I can configure it to switch on & off at certain times. I would like to match up these settings with time machine so that the NAS doesn't switch off in the middle of a backup. I was wondering where the actual times of TM's backups were stored, and if they can be configured.
