Time to port my number? 7 freakin mintues

Picked up my pre-ordered 3gs from AT&T this morning (which went very smoothly by the way), got home, called up AT&T to port my VZW number over. I figured it would take a couple of hours, but the rep on the phone told me it would take SEVEN MINUTES.

Just wanted to note that I was impressed. :)

That is all - go back to playing with your new 3gs.
 
Yeah, when my wife and I parted ways from the AT&T store this morning, I had my sprint phone in my pocket for any incoming calls that took place until things were ported over, and after getting in my car and getting on the highway (about five minutes total), my iPhone rang, not my Sprint phone. Nice!
