Better get a move on it, you've got 6 minutes till the hour is over.

My favorite feature is putting my desk in standing mode. At x:50, my watch always reminds me to stand.... even though I have been standing for hours -__-

I'm not going to bother explaining why that is - I assume you already know how the Watch works.

You have owned the watch since close to launch.... First time you realised this while sitting..... In a car?

Need some attention do we ....
Actually yes first time. U mad

I was told by the AW to stand up at one point, the problem was that prior to that notification, I was standing up and moving around for a solid 20 minutes.

I think its a useless feature, I'm quite active but trying to get up stand up for a minute or two is silly that really doesn't do much for any sort of conditioning, or weight loss.

Do you sit in an office chair or on your couch for more than six hours a day? Then here are some disturbing facts: Your risk of heart disease has increased by up to 64 percent. You're shaving off seven years of quality life. You're also more at risk for certain types of cancer

It's actually a pretty useful feature. And I myself need it because without these reminds and motivation to fill the rings I'd never get out of my chair.

As I said, I'm quite active, and so for me its a useless feature. I run between 4 to 8 miles on any given day, I take cardio classes 5 days a week, and I take karate classes 4 days a week.

I think I know what they're going for... Get the desk people to get up and walk. But I agree with you I'm really mobile at work I shouldn't be reminded to stand up. Eh I'll deal with it I just thought it was funny it came up while I was driving hahaha.

I think you have to realize that the watch doesn't have a neural link to your brain. It stands to reason that if you are sitting for a while driving a car, the watch could think it is a good time for you to take a break and stand up. Obviously you can't always do that. More times that not, I find that when it tells me to stand up, I really could use a quick stretch break. I wouldn't do it if the watch didn't remind me. I'm sure over time their algorithms and data inputs will get better and better. The only one that is kind of annoying to me is when you are working out or something and it tells you to stand up. There needs to be something tweaked in there to have certain activities override other prompts.

Standing reminders have nothing to do with weight loss or exercise. It's not healthy to sit for extended periods of time.

Can't explain why it would ask you to stand after 20 mins of jumping jacks.

I like the reminders. It's kinda like a personal assistant telling you to stand up.
