Time Warner Cable Sever Crash in Syracuse, NY - Anyone Here Affected?

At 10:54 AM Sunday, my internet shut off and AirPort Extreme could not find any sources of internet.

Today I found out that Time Warner Cable had a Server malfunction in Syracuse; 5 hours away from my house. The problem was said to be fixed at 1 PM, yet still some of the 400,000 customers are having problems. Time Warner Cable said to call help service, if problems still exsist.

I still had no internet this morning, so I will give them a call later today.

Anyone else live in New York and have some sort of problem?

I do not live in NY but same thing happened at Time Warner Los Angeles... just document the length of time you do not have internet access to get some sort of credit on that. Forget trying to call them during this time since they know what you are calling about and basically cut you off.

Is this payback for protesting against the bandwidth caps?

Outside of Buffalo, NY - I was down for about 2.5 hours or less late yesterday morning. TV and phone worked (both Time Warner), but no internet.

In Rochester, I had the exact same thing. Only TV worked, not phone or internet. Always when I'm about to bid on something on eBay........

Forget trying to call them during this time since they know what you are calling about and basically cut you off.

Actually they were quite helpful, and the problem is fixed for me now.
