Time Warner iPad Streaming

So TimeWarner allows streaming TV to your iPad, but what about your computer? If the iPad can do it, shouldn't a computer be able to as well?

As a last resort, couldn't you emulate the iPad on the computer to stream TV? But, there's surely an easier way...
