Let's say you have a first version of the G5 iMac and wanted to use Timecapsule. What would you need to do to make it compatible besides having Leapord? I mean, would you, for example, need to use some kind of USB 802.11n ethernet adapter and things like that?

You can plug right into it wired with gigabit ethernet. Or you can use b/g wireless.
