OK, confused.
I have been using my TimeCapsule to extend my existing wireless router for the last ~month. I have been having intermittent connectivity issues in the last week or so.
I called AppleCare to discuss and they now tell me "extending an existing wireless network" is supported by TimeCapsule, but is not supported by TimeMachine. Apparently, TimeMachine needs to be attached to the primary router. Huh?? Today's genius seemed pretty sure about this restriction (though 2 other prior geniuses failed to make this comment).
Has anyone heard of this type of Time Machine limitation?
