Hey guys,
I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if its a system limitation, but my Time Capsule wont share the internet with my Windows XP computer through LAN cable anymore.
The setup is like this:
Billion 7404VNPX ADSL Modem router transmitting wifi network on 2.4Ghz N & G
Airport Express joined wifi network with printer
Time Capsule joined wifi network
The XP computer is plugged into the TimeCapsule but it doesn't get connectivity, I tried to assign an IP but it still doesn't work.
Previously, I had the Airport Express plugged into the Billion modem router and had both the Billion and the Airport Express transmit wifi networks, and the TimeCapsule joined the AEBS and shared the internet with the Windows PC with no issues.
I initially tried setting the AEBS and TC as WDS with the Billion, but the current generation AEBS and TC seem to only want to repeat the wifi only if the base was an Apple product.
The TC is definitely on the network as my MBP finds it and backs up to it on a schedule.
Seems like the easiest fix is to put the AEBS back with the modem/router and get an Airport Extreme for the printer?
Sorry if I'm using the wrong terminology... don't really understand it all.
