I have configured TimeMachine to back up to a shared folder on my Synology NAS. The NAS has about 8TB of storage available, and my Macintosh HD is currently about 3.7TB.
From what I understand, if TimeMachine runs out of disk space, it should prioritize the most recent or relevant backups and delete the other ones. However, in my case, TimeMachine simply tells me it's run out of space and is no longer backing up. How can I get it to automatically delete old backups and free up some space?
