Timemachine - iMac to macbook pro

Hello everyone. I have a quick question for everybody. It seems ever since I used the OS X version from Time Machine that was for my iMac and put it on my Macbook Pro it seems to run really slow. Any suggestions?

Open Activity Monitor and look in the CPU tab then sort by CPU% and see if anything is chewing up CPU cycles while the machine is idle.
