Timemachine on a networkshare

I have looked in several timemachine threads, but I havn't seen a solution for the use of networkshares with timemachine. So here it is:

1. Close timemachine if it's open
2. Open terminal
3. Type: defaults write com.apple.systempreferences TMShowUnsupportedNetworkVolumes 1
4. Restart timemachine
5. Select a networkshare for backup

Now timemachine creates a sparse image on a networkshare and timemachine works the same way as on a external disk. For me this is a perfect solution so I hope more people can benefit from this.
