Hi all
I needed to uninstall mozilla firefox because of a bug which didn't allow me to use google as my search engine.
when I wanted to install from a older backup of timemashine I got the blank downloaded version of the time without any add-ons, bookmarks, etc!
To me it makes no sense to store only a downloadable version of a program without the changes I did to it.
Did I miss some thing or is this a known shortcomming of Timemashine.
My timemashine drive is a 2TB timecapsule and im running Mavericks on a MBA 2012
Any help wellcome!!

The add-ons, bookmarks, etc.. are not part of the application itself.

They are user's changes, and are stored in your Library (~/Library).

I do not use Firefox so won't help more, but you will have to restore from Time Machine the relevant files, likely stored in :

~/Library/Application Support
~/Library/Containers
~/Library/Preferences

Some one else here will tell you what you need to restore exactly.

To unveil the (hidden) Library you will need to do in Finder :

Cmd + Shift + g, then paste : ~/Library

This will reveal the user Library.

Then, enter Time Machine interface.

Or you can use the menu. Hold down the option key and select Go > Library.

Another way...when your Home folder is open in Finder, choose View > Show View Options. There is a checkbox to always show your Library.
