Timer App - Wake up phone from locked?

Hi all,
Ive been trawling through the forums/app store/Google for a while now and cant find much of an answer, so maybe someone can help.

I would like to know if there are any timer apps (apart from Apples) that allow you to set a countdown timer, then close the app or lock the phone, THEN alarm out or 'wake up' the phone and return to the app. The ability to return to the app would be very helpful

Any help appreciated.
