Is anyone else experiencing whenever you set a timer, the timer is turning itself automatically? This is very annoying, and could possibly be costly.

Any fixes/settings I could check into!? I have iPhone XS Max.

Use them regularly. Haven’t seen that problem. Could it be a third party app that is interfering?

Hmmm, it's mainly in the morning when I'm getting ready for work. It'll be set and working fine, but when it's time to go off it'll come up and "roll" itself off, similar to a notification.

It's truly annoying.

Edit... I'm going to to change the ring tone on the timer and see if that helps, even though it shouldn't have anything to do with it.

Ok so my phone did this again this morning... TWICE!!!

The phone was locked and I had Apple Music going, like WTF!!!

So I've narrowed it down, to when this is actually happening.

So I use my timers in the morning to get out the door on time. Because my screen is set to time out after two minutes, and I set my timer until I leave the house in 5 minute intervals; for this reason I'm constantly tapping the screen at the two minute mark so I can "literally" see the time going down.

So when the issue seems to be happening is when the timer is going and the phone is unlocked, and the screen on, also in most instances Apple Music in the background. So for whatever reason, the time is equating turning itself off with the screen being unlocked and on.

Makes no sense, but that's what's happening.

I’ve notice the same thing on my iPad Pro. With both timer countdowns and alarms.

It’s as if the device notices my attention so it just give a quick banner and no alert sound.
Trouble is I cannot purposely reproduce it.

Additionally, I’ve noticed that if I have an alarm and a reminder set for the same time, AND I’m using the device, both with quickly show a banner and go away without any alert sound (from the alarm).

Luckily it doesn’t seem to occur when I’m not paying attention (I think I’d have noticed by now if I was missing alarms and timer countdown alerts.
