Times new roman looks nothing like on a PC

here it is:

even in the fonts menu in iwork pages, it still shows that different font.

Is there anyway to change it to the one on a PC, it gets really irritating whenever I recieve files from people with PCs who use it as their default font.

That's odd, because that's definately NOT Times New Roman.

Have you installed any new fonts or font packs? It looks like your original Times New Roman got replaced by something that calls itself Times New Roman, but isn't.

Looks like you'll have to delete it and re-install the original fonts. Hopefully someone can give you some adivce on how to do that.

same problem deferent font

in my case it shows some kind of runes... i looked in fontbook and can't identify that wrong font. when i search times new roman it finds a lot of them but they all look right.
