Hi guys, long time stalker, first time poster.

Today I installed a 2nd HDD in my optical drive bay (with an SSD in the original HDD spot) in my 2011 13" macbook pro and everything is working perfectly except that when I switch it on, the chime does not come on (no big deal, actually I prefer it) but also whenever I play a video or music the sound from the inbuilt speakers is incredibly tinny and sounds like its coming out of the left side of the computer. The sound is perfect when I use headphones.

Does anyone have any ideas about what I could have done wrong? I'm not very techy but I thought if I followed the iFixit guide I should be able to do it okay (perhaps I was wrong). Thanks in advance for any suggestions :)

If I remember correctly, when fitting the optibay, you have to at least move the subwoofer out of the way, and maybe even disconnect it? Sounds like [pardon the pun] you've either knocked or not connected the sub back up again to me, so I'd double check that as a starting point.

jg321 thank you very much, so simple yet that was exactly it. Very much appreciated
