My colleague wants to play Wonderlands with me, but it looks like there's no mac release, even on the epic games store. We're wondering about streaming options -- I didn't see any of them that seemed to offer Wonderlands, but maybe I'm missing some.

Bootcamp not really an option, and she doesn't currently have a PC. She does have an EGPU currently, but haven't found a cheap laptop with thunderbolt 3 yet. Buying a console doesn't seem cost effective for one game either -- not to mention she'd prefer mouse & keyboard over controller.

Thx in advance

Looks like Windows only, for now. From what I recall, the publisher- 2K Games - has pulled all of their games from streaming services like GeForce Now.

I think you have answered all of your questions. There is no way to play it on Mac. One last option is to download free trial of Parallels and Crossover and give it a try. Wonderlands prefers DX 12 and neither of those supports that but it's possible to choose DX 11 in the game. The biggest problem is to start the game in order to change to DX 11. Also if it uses anti-cheat it won't work with Parallels or Crossover depending on the kind of anti-cheat. Let's hope that it will come to Mac in a few months like Borderlands 3 did since they ported it in-house. It's just BL3 with a new skin.

Lowest cost option is second hand Xbox Series S that I see for <$200 but controller only AFAIK. Game looks like reskinned Borderlands so probably not worth the $80. Wait for a $20 sale.

It might be possible to use the Shadow Cloud PC service to play the game. Basically, Shadow gives you control of a complete cloud based VM that is powerful enough to run games.

I tried the service on my 2017 i7 iMac when they first launched and found that it worked pretty well. I remotely installed Steam and some steam games (including Borderlands 2) and it work well. Of course, how well something like this works will depend on how close their servers are to your ISP and what kinds of latencies are involved.

I would grab an Xbox series S console. It’s small, cheap and runs games well. These days and you can use mouse and keyboard in general on the console But gearbox don’t support it ?

The dlc for this game has to be the worst in gaming history, can’t believe I pre ordered this pos

?‍♀️

I must be mad

Wow! Did you finish the base game yet? I think the consensus for the base game has been largely positive, especially if you're a fan of Borderlands 2 and 3.

What's wrong with it, specifically? Does it deviate THAT much the base game?

I love borderlands, 1 and 2 in particular, 3 was ok apart from the story and the main characters plus the weapons weren’t anything to shout about .

2 was the high point imo , the dlc alone for this masterpiece is incredible , great vfm and a must buy

Regard to tiny Tina , the games quite fun but the coiled captor dlc is a total joke , lasts a bout 10 minutes and has no special characters or anything, looking at Reddit and the gearbox forums most others feel the same , the general feeling is that this is a total rip off …
