Is there a step by step tutorial that will help me restore to 4.0.1 from my SSH backup?

Just open TinyUmbrella, click "Start TSS server," then in iTunes hold down shift (Win) or option (Mac) and click restore. It will ask you to select the correct firmware file. Choose it, and your phone will be restored. Pretty simple.

If you need to download the firmware file, you can get it at the iPhone Wiki.

I can't get into my phone to open cydia it is stuck at the apple screen.

tried it keep getting 3002 error...should i go ahead and upgrade to 4.0.2 and then downgrade?

What firmware were you on? Yes you can upgrade to 4.0.2 and downgrade back to 4.0.1 but it'd be pretty pointless.

Not pointless at this point I can not get into my phone it is stuck at the apple screen...am I supposed use 4.0 instead?

It's just odd because the 3002 error usually happens when trying to upgrade from a 3.x firmware. Turn Tinyumbrella off and see if you can restore to 4.0.2 first then.

found the answer..i was pointing to the 4.0.1 and it should have been 4.0! Thanks All...

Got happy to quick! it went further but i am still stuck another error! cound not complete restore.

Did it look like it finished restoring? Try using the 'kick device out of recovery mode' button in Tinyumbrella if it did.

no reason..just a newer firmware...i'd assume it fixed something?????

I can't see activator in settings...any thoughts? tried uninstalling 4 times...

I'm not sure what the issue is, but this is certainly no longer on topic for this thread. While it is good to resist the temptation to create more threads than necessary, please create a new thread for truly distinct issues.

Nope problem..I got it fixed and I will keep that in mind for future post.
