My jailbroken iphone 4 is on firmware 4.1 baseband 02.10.04.

I wish to upgrade to 4.3.

Can I use tinyumbrella-4.30.03 (latest version) to save the baseband?

Thanks for your help.

Updating works, notcom confirmed that on his blog.

I don't know why you are worried about preserving a baseband that can't be unlocked anyway.

I was guessing older baseband has better chance of getting unlocked? You think I should just update to 4.3?

Yes. It's always better to keep older baseband even though there is currently no unlock for it.
