Anyone else have TinyUmbrella bounce in your dock then fail to start? This is on a 2007 Macbook pro (10.6.4). Strange, tried multiple sources for the .dmg but to no avail.

Make sure you drag it to the applications folder and run it from there. That was my problem.

Tried everything with 4.00.80 version, rebooting, clearing trash, running from app folder, desktop. Some hang up yet to be diagnosed.

I'm good with the 4.0 hashes (had them for days, maybe a week both in Cydia and on laptop) just bugged by the idea the newest version won't run on the MacBook.

Same deal here. Version .80 and .54 won't open on my Macbook Pro. Version .06 did. I was able to get version .80 working in Windows 7 bootcamp and saved 4.0.1 shsh's to Cydia.

using the latest version available, it wouldn't work for me - just bounce, bounce, bounce.

(regardless of where I put it).

So, I opened the container, and somewhere in resources/macosx... are two java files - you just need to run them from there (in terminal). Then it launches.

As I'm not at my mac, I can't give you the exact location - just play around, I'm sure you'll find it... ;)

tinyumbrella does work on macbook! Here's how...

Got new version of tiny umbrella to load on macbook!! Drag it to applications, hold control key and click the mouse, click on show package contents, double click contents folder, double click macos folder, and double click java applicationstub...There you go!!

TinyUmbrella PPC G5

Looking at the FirmwareUmbrella website it talks about bug fixes for PPC and states that TinyUmbrella will run on 10.5.x or 10.6.x. I have a G5 tower and tinyumbrella downloads with a do not enter symbol over it and trying to start it I get a message stating that it does not support this architecture. Is PPC support no longer available?
