Hello !

I found a nice tip on youtube to customize the iPhone home screen by adding invisible icons on the springboard between the other apps icons.

See the video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRdEf628bdg

It looks great ! Did anyone already tried it ?

I have an iPod Touch, but no WiFi access for the moment...

Please let me know if it works !

See you.

I forgot to say that the address used in the video (iempty.free.fr) seems to be incorrect...

The correct address is http://iempty.tooliphone.net

... Nobody tried it ?
I have to wait sunday afternoon to make the test by myself...

OK, I have a WiFi connection now.

I made the test and it's very simple to use ! Like in the video.

You just have to :
- Open Safari
- Go to the given address : http://iempty.tooliphone.net
- Tap "Customize" menu
- Tap Safari "+" button
- Choose "Add to home screen"
- Tap "Add" button

You now have a blank space on the screen, and you can move it like any other application...

You should try it, it's a good webapp to have in your Safari bookmarks.

I'll post some screenshots of my iTouch later if I have a moment.
You can also post yours !

Bye !

... waiting for this, here are some screenshots from the iEmpty website ("Screenshots" section) :

You're right, it will not help if all your screens are full ! :)

one last thing : it seems to be usefull only for non jailbroken iPhones, or iPhones with a black screen background (no wallpaper).

Indeed, the icon can not be fully transparent, and it is black when Safari add it...

you're right, it is to add blank space on the screen...

... but this is a kind of customization !

Sure it's not a full customization like winterboard for example on jailbroken iPhones, but it's nice to have a bit of custom possible with no jailbreak !
