You are limited by the free space in your Dropbox account, which isn't much for free accounts. Also, it only uploads when you open the Dropbox app + 10 minutes after you close it. It's not fully automatic.

I prefer an app called PhotoSync. It allows you to sync to many services, including a folder on your desktop, without being limited to the amount of space on your Dropbox account.
