Hey guys,

So I've been using my pencil to take notes at work, not really heavy use thus far. But I did notice that the tip of my pencil is blueish in color, almost like ink? I looked over the surface of my Pro and didn't see any visible scuffs or scratches.. Is there a coating that the pencil is scraping off?

No, just always carried in my backpack. And I cannot clean it off. It doesn't impact performance I'm just concerned that any screen coating is coming off.

The pencil is rubbing against something. The tip is soft and semipermeable so it will pick up harsh dyes, like blue from denim or a backpack.

There's no worry as it won't stain your screen, it's not from the screen, and if your pencil tip wears, just replace it.

I'm kind of hoping that Apple releases some black tips...and a pink charging cap.
