I have an iPhone 4 running 4.3.3 with modem firmware 01.59.00 that is Jailbroken and can be unlocked. It is about to go on ebay. I tried to use the built in "erase all contents" but it just sits there and doesn't do anything. I can't hook it up to iTunes and restore because that would change the software and firmware making it locked and thus less valuable on ebay. Any idea how I can erase the phone without updating the software? TIA

The only way to restore your phone to 4.3.3 is having the SHSH saved either on the computer (Tinyumberlla) or with Cydia. Google on "restoring to 4.3.3".

Use Tinyumberlla, to make sure the baseband is NOT updated during the restore.

When are people going to realize that you cant do an erase all on a JB iphone?
Your only option now is to restore it.
If you have shsh blobs for previous versions you can create a custom ipsw for 4.3.3 for example and restore to that in order to not update your baseband.
Find out what blobs you have available.

Well, I guess this "people" realizes it right now since I have never tried to restore a jailbroken iPhone before.
So I ran Tiny Umbrella and saved my SHSH. How do I now create the custom .ipsw?
Thanks.

Go to the Advance tab, make sure "Update iPhone baseband" is UNchecked, and set hosts to Cydia is checked. Exit.

Put your phone in recovery or DFU mode.
Do Opt-Restore in iTunes to your downloaded 4.3.3 ipsw.

Hold on, on that screen it only shows 5.0.1 available blob.
Go to advanced and click the box "request shsh from cydia".
Then click save shsh again and see what available blobs show up.
You can only restore to firmware version you have blobs for.

Do I have the right stuff now?
So now when I go back to iTunes and do an option/restore, I will have a 4.3.3 ipsw to restore from?

Yes, just make sure you get your settings right in the Advance tab, and then exit TinyUmbrella.
No, YOU need to download the ipsw. Just google: ipsw iPhone iclarified. First hit.

Go to the Advance tab, make sure "Update iPhone baseband" is UNchecked, and set hosts to Cydia is checked. Exit.

Put your phone in recovery or DFU mode.
Do Opt-Restore in iTunes to your downloaded 4.3.3 ipsw.

Ok, I got the settings correct. Downloaded ipsw 4.3.3 from the internets. Have 4.3.3 SHSH saved. Exciting TU is all I need to do and then restore? I don't need to modify the ipsw in anyway?
I'm just a little confused on how a program (TU) that is not running but has a saved file I need, will prevent iTunes from upgrading the baseband when I restore.
Thanks for your time!

Ok, lookin good homie.
You do have shsh blobs for 4.3.3 so you can restore to that.
Before you start anything click start tss server on TU and let it keep running in the back while you go thru the whole process.

No, if you do that you might update the baseband.
Make sure you have TU open and click start TSS server running while you do the restore to 4.3.3
This way you wont update the baseband.

This will work too.
For me, I'd just restore the phone to stock 4.3.3. Who ever bought your phone can jb by jailbreakme.com
