I found that siri has its own hidden volume setting while you hear it over the speaker. I found this out because mine had been turned all the way down, and it began to bug me that i could no longer hear siri over the speaker. So watch out that u don't accidentally turn siri all the way down like I did...I was about to go to apple and try and get a new phone because i thought mine had broken somehow. Hope this may help some of you guys.

How did you end up figuring out how to control the volume?

My Siri is now quiet (just like your's was), and it's really bugging me.

How do I turn it back up?

Great find OP. Now Siri is louder than my girlfriend!

Hold the home button until Siri chirps at you then adjust the volume with the volume keys.

Abit stupid how you change the Siri volume. Apple should just make the Siri volume be controlled by the "ringer" volume. If that makes sense.

There are a few silly changes I've found in ios5.
