In before the whiners come here to say:

"But... but... but... I shouldn't have to manage anything to get all day battery life. I should just be able to leave all features on and 100% brightness all day without budgeting my battery whatsoever. It's Apples fault"

Good list of tips though, I use all of them myself at some point or another.
