Tips on best security for IP4

Hi people, can some of you give your best advice on security set up, Restrictions for emails, passcode lock, how you set it, how long, 1 minute etc... Just reading a lot of posts from people who aren't 100% on setting that stuff up. Find my iPhone etc, Locations

Make your code longer than four characters. It's not just strangers you have to worry about, because the police can search your phone without your consent.

If you want to call someone when you're driving it's bad enough to put in 4 digits.. Police?!

Since I've put a passcode lock on the phone, several months later.. (cough), yeh I know...certain apps, email, general etc... close unexpectedly and go to home screen and I have to open them again. Anyone?
