Turn off your battery percentage. Simple.
Why?
So you stop checking your phone every second for a drop in 1% charge. You'll also be happier.
Apple has it disabled by default for a reason.

I wish there was a way to hide the battery icon altogether like on OSX. I've done that on my MacBook so I don't worry about battery until it actually runs out.
