I have sold my wife's and I iPhone last 4 years and got taken once, so I am passing on what info I was told by PayPal to help insure a good sale. There are lot of legit people that will give you no problems, but if a thief sees that you don't sell a lot, they may take advantage of that.

If you do sell, pay the extra money and go to ups and have them pack it and write down the ime number on your receipt. If they complain and need to send back, pay to have it shipped to your local ups store and have them open the box. They can compare the ime number to the one they wrote on the receipt .
Put this in your add. Just showing in your write up how careful your going to be is going to make most thieves move on to another phone to buy.

Sounds like lot if steps but this was suggested to me last year by a PayPal when I asked for advice. Just thought I would pass on what I learned.
