Tired of all the iphone news, what about the rMBP?

I think it is because the iPhone maybe constitutes of a larger portion of Apple's profits, and it's always been that iPhones tend to gain the longer lineups in new releases.
But I feel your pain...sometimes I wish there was this much iPod hype.

Word everyday I get on am hoping to see news for the new rmbp or iPad but its always iPhone central

I read somewhere that iPhone sales are higher than every Mac computer combined
i don't doubt that, for example i've owned all the iphones to date. plus my wife has had 2. And in total we've only purchased 1 macbook laptop

I don't much care for iOS, if someone gifts me a phone I'll use it but only with wifi, not going to pay an arm and a leg for 4G etc, rip off!
This company has gone down the drain, it is just another android wanna be company now, it's going to make TVs and watches, game consoles and smart toilet seats. While the macbooks are getting slimmer and less useful.
Time to not keep up and just enjoy the mountains!

It's true, every iPhone purchased (and iPods I believe) have been more than the past 23 years of Macs sold!
iPhone sales dwarf Mac sales. In fact if Apple only made the iPhone they'd still be bigger than Microsoft. iPhone and iPad are Apple's money makers. But Macs are the foundation of that success.

I see what you mean - historically. I meant that Xcode for making apps and the iOS ecosystem, Macs are the foundation.
It's true. The start of the iPod led into the mass accumulating of the apple fans we know today (Because they got big - Just like how Call of Duty was fun before the 2nd and 3rd one came out and all the little kids got into it). It seems like the older guys on here are the ones who were actually with Apple when the mac was their main thing. Now you see comments by some of the younger people saying thing like "Steve would never let this happen"
